Granaio is part of a group of five cottages in an old 1725 farmhouse in the wonderful Calaforno Park.

Its name derives from its ancient function, namely to collect and contain the freshly harvested wheat “grano” in Italian). The characteristic of Il Granaio is that of having a vault shape.

Its particular structure is designed to comfortably accommodate a couple and 2 children. The sleeping area consists of a quality double bed and a bathroom with a very spacious shower.

In the living area there is a bunk bed instead.

Granaio is an open space cottage. It is equipped with a well-stocked kitchen with all appliances including a dishwasher.

Evocative and fascinating is the atmosphere generated by the swimming pool, ideal for relaxing, to be pampered by the sun, to play with your children and to be regenerated in the embrace of the water.

The space

Granaio is located in the woodland of Calaforno, in the centre of the Hyblean Mountains surrounded by the rolling green hills of Ragusa. Perfect for peaceful walks and trekking, the whole area is surrounded by nature, trees and flowing streams as well as extensive olive groves which produce some of the best organic olive oil in the world. Giarratana is the nearest village, just 2 km far by car.
